My 07 DX has a very accurate speed. Matching up perfectly with my Zumo 550 GPS unit. I hope you don't mind but I'm trying to help out my dad. He has a 07 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 classic LT and his speedo is off by a large amount. He is reading 82mph @ the real speed of 74. He has been told by 2 dealerships and the factory that this is acceptable as a matter of fact 10% is OK. Going 72 and reading 80. Is there anyway this could be right? Does anyone know how to adjust this electronic speedo? Or how to get Kawasaki to replace it? Thank you for your help
Mods, sorry I thought you might not mind but I understand if you remove it.

There are speedo correction units on the market for Harleys so I'll bet there is one for his bike also. Usually for older bikes that was an acceptable difference. I know my v-rod has always been within one mile an hour one way or the other of what my gps says.

I think most of the metric bikers use the Speedohealer: http://www.speedohealer.com/eng/order.htm

Here's one of many sites that sells it: http://www.pashnit.com/product/speedohealer.html

You might need to call to double check compatibility with the '07 Vulcan 900.
