I went to replace the shaft and it was hard to pull out so i used pliers it came out fast. Well now i cant get the new one loned up to go all the way in. Ive pulled it out slowly turned one notch and tried allway around am i doing something wrong?

Have a look at this video. He does the whole
Process. See if you did any of the steps differently. Also pay attention to how he keeps the spring in place.

What year of bike is it. Pre late 04s had problems where spring would detach .

Its an o4 vrsca 08-03
That should have had the updated parts. More info here.
