Hey guys i have a couple of servicing questions. I live in N1 and i was wondering where is the best place to get my MOT done (due by month end). Also i have 23k kms on my bike and i have not done the valve lash check yet and was wondering where i can get that done and how much would it cost or alternatively is that a job that can be done in one's garage? Tx

Wow that is expensive!!! At 23k should i bother doing it? I will check with a dealer to see what they ask.

For MOT i did it at London MOT center at 17 Cranmer Road London SW9 6EJ United Kingdom and there number is 02077939333. I cannot recommend them enough. Ask for Derek when you call because he owns an anniversary vrod himself and let me say he shows some love for fellow vrodders (many mods on your machine can stay on if you know what i mean ) They charge 29 pounds which is standard i think and they r very efficient in and out in less than 20 minutes....

Checked with warr's king road and they quoted 6-8 hours and the hour at 89 pounds so indeed a 530-700 pound job!!!! They said that normally probability of people doing this service is 50-50 so i reckon they have done only a few of those. Any experiences with servicing at that shop? Because i will probably end up doing that expensive service as the bike is a keeper.

530 pounds all in parts and labor at armageddon and will be done by Daves so a bit more chewable than the stealer's price. I have serviced at stratford before and they were good so I might give these guys a try.

I live in N1 so about 30 minutes from walthamstow  but i used to service at stratford and i had my dog at the quarantine in chingford so was driving up there regularly when i first moved to the uk.

Nino is doing great ! He loves riding along on my vrod and so when he hears the bike arriving from a distance and he would already be waiting at the door ! Looking for a girlfriend for him as he is humpin everything that comes his way.....
