I recently bought an 03 v-rod it has screamin eagle slip ons it sounds like the baffles are loose rattling around when I hit a bump leave a driveway etc can I take them out or will it hurt the motor
It will probably change the tune some. All you can do is try it as a last resort and see how the engine behaves. I would look closely at other things that might be causing the sound. Sometimes what you think you hear isn't really that part. Try tapping the slip ons with a rubber hammer lightly on the end to see if in fact that's where the sound is coming from.
I just can't see a bump causing the baffle to rattle so dig deeper if the rubber hammer doesn't reproduce the sound.
