Security system

What is this - an alarm that sounds if the bike is moved, tilted, or jolted? Or is it some kind of device that kills the engine and/or prevents it from being started completely unless a "secret code" or combination of other actions is performed first?

The factory security system is silent. If the bike is leaned, bumped, moved, etc without turning off the security system then the turn signals will flash and the engine won't start. You can turn it off with the remote control or by entering your "secret code" via the turn signal controls.

Harley sells (as do other companies) an audible siren or pager system that plugs into the factory security system if want an audible alarm. Install is 10 minutes for the audible siren...
My security system came with the siren. Any jolt or slight movement will cause it to chirp. A sharp movement will set it off completely.
So TBag, do other Harleys set it off? I was told the chirp when passing an alarm equipped cage was merely the car paying respects for a superior being. I would hope we can set off other Harleys, but they can't set off ours. Just a thought...

I have yet to see another Harley set off my alarm :D but you can adjust the sensitivity of the alarm so it may be possible...
