I recently bought an 06 vrsca and finally got to go on a decent length ride today- 100 or so miles. I would love to find a more comfortable seat than the stock one. Any sugestions/recommendations?

Hands down the Sundowner is the best for comfort although my butt didn't mind the stock seat for 500 mile rides. The Sundowner's fault, however, is that the looks of the Sundowner are not so aesthetically pleasing to many people. If you want to strike a balance between looks and comfort, the Custom Solo seat is much more comfortable than the stock seat, and looks much nicer on the V-Rod than the Sundowner to me. Some custom seats, I have heard, are also quite comfortable when you order them liberally padded with gel.

I had a tough first ride (2 hrs) on my new Sundowner seat. Arse hurt like hell afterward. Hopefully it'll break in.

Man, they need a seat forum. this question gets asked at least once a week. Whos Better the Stones or The Stones? Personal opinion on my part, the stock blew, the sundowner blew less. Now the stock with dense foam is way better than either. Ill probably still play wth it and gel it up and see what happens.

You have 4 Options:-
1. Sundowner - Superior Comfort but bulky
2. Corbin - Very firm at first but does contour to your but. Little more pricey than the sundowner and very very sleek.
3. Willie G Seat - I hear it is as comfortable as the Corbin and Sundowner, and very very cool looking. (I think you may have issues with 06 or later models for this seat).
4. Badlander seat - Also comes in 100th anniversary badged flavour, but not much better than the stock seat.

Which is the best option, I have NFI but these are your 3 main options, I am going through the same dilema atm, but I think I am going to try find the Willie G.

Not as cushy as the sundowner but much more comfortable than the stock or the badlander seat. It is in between the stock and the sundowner.
