Look into having your seat built to your body build. I got mine reworked by AMSSS seat co. It looks stock but has gel pad and memory foam all for $140.... there are other companies out there. Do a search and get all the info you need. Or you can spend the big bucks and get any thing you want.

Yeah...my impression the Sundowner is lower. I love it too, but it doesn't "flow" well with my solo seat storage compartment, so I use my Reach seat.

great suggestion i will look into it

I have a 29" inseam, so I'm pretty sensitive to seat height while stopped. The Sundowner seems lower and closer to the forward controls than the OEM seat.

29 inch inseam here too. I have stock seat, Sundowner seat and Willie G seat. The Willie G seat is the lowest, but very stiff. The Sundowner is almost as low, but much larger. Stock seat.....I don't like it.

I only use the Sundowner when wife rides with me. Which is only once, maybe twice a year. Riders pillon is much better on Sundowner.

Those seats have way too much padding.

Watch the width. Even if a seat is one inch lower, you loose leg inches if the seat is wider.

Oh yea, I forgot, you have a cut down back-board with stacks of 4x8 gauze pads covered in some fancy Augora leather. :hidesbeh: LOL

I just switched from a Sundowner to a Willie G, and the Willie def. sits lower. It's much firmer than the 'couch' I had on there, but it is very comfortable nonetheless.

I have gotten used to the CFR seat for a long time but hurt my ass after a long time, just put sundowner on. Much more comfy but feels like I'm sitting on top of the bike and not as cool looking. CFR for bar hopping and Sundowner for long haul.
