I have a 2002 A-model which I bought used with the Screamin' Eagle slip-on mufflers. I removed the mufflers to do some maintenance and cleaning of the bike, and I noticed that if you shake the mufflers, they sound like they are full of sand. What could this be and is this normal? Thanks.

I have an '02 with the SE-II shotgun pipes; I know that they are full of fiberglass. I can't imagine what's in your pipes. Can you shake anything out of them?

Nothing comes out, but you can hear whatever is in there moving around. Does not appear to be creating any issues, but was just curious if anyone else has noticed this.
