Hey anyone, I just bought a PCIIIr but I think it will be a while until it gets here from Aus. Will I be destroying the rod running the bike with se filter, topless, 28t, and the Samson Ripsaws? It is finally done in the shop except for the PC and I would like to ride it since the weather is gonna be nice up here. I think it will be running lean, am I right? :hmm: Should I wait?

Put the Top Back on at least till you get it tuned Bro! :kaz:

Dan if that has a stock flash that would probably be pretty lean at cruise speed. If you have like the se flash you would probably be alright.

With the stock calibration, you will definitely be leaning out the engine! I wouldn't try it as is! If you are dieing to ride, I would suggest putting the top back on, and re-install the factory filter. But I would personally wait.

Re-installing the stock filter SHOULD be enough. It's the second restriction point after the the mufflers in a stock set-up.

Again, I would wait or get a stage 1 download in the interim.

you have a race tuner? If you do, you should be able to map close for yoursetup til the dyno. If I may ask... why get a Poer Commander also? the R/T is far superior.

Greg, I have a friend putting in a dyno in 2 months and want to ride in the meantime. I figured the PCIIIr has a mapping for the ripsaws and it would be the safest thing to do until I get it dynoed. And there is always someone looking for a PC on here. I can always sell it in 2 months and get to ride without worrying with the PC for the time being. I have no idea what to do with the RT right now and would hate to screw something up when I could just hook up the PC and ride. I may change pipes in a few months if the Samsons are too loud anyway so I would have to redo it. Tooooo many options for me!!

You could also put some duct tape on the stock filter element in order to impede some airflow. That would help to richen things up a bit.
