David Arnold is a member here and he customized a VRod for his wife and I had the pleasure of meeting him last summer when he just started the makeover on her 07AW. The accident happened on Sunday southeast of Dayton in Xenia, Ohio. PLEASE KEEP David and his family in your thoughts and prayers!

MADISON TWP. — A Xenia woman is dead after her motorcycle collided with a Jeep Sunday evening, Aug. 22.
Shortly after 6:30 p.m., Gail Arnold, 43, was northbound on Trenton Franklin Road, near the 5400 block, when her 2007 Harley Davidson went left of center, striking a red 2008 Jeep Wrangler driven by Roger Williams, 57, of Middletown.
Arnold’s motorcycle went underneath the tire and she was thrown from the bike, according to Lt. Mike Smith of the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.
“It was a hard impact,” Smith said. “She slid under the guardrail.”
Williams, who was transported to Atrium Medical Center, is no longer listed as a pateint at the hospital.
Smith said there were quite a few motorcycles traveling together when the crash occurred.
Deborah Parrella, whose front lawn is near where the collision occurred, called 911 after she heard the loud crash.
“The man in the Jeep was just sitting in shock and finally he moved and I knew he was alive,” Parrella said.
Members of West Middletown Church of God, 5350 Vine St., were in the midst of prayer service when some of the motorcyclists came in and asked them to pray for their friend.
The group stayed near the house of Hobert and Marie White, the church’s pastor and his wife.
“That little curve is so dangerous and they fixed it once but obviously it didn’t work,” Parrella said. “Motorcycles whip around here constantly and they weren’t wearing any helmets.”
Madison Twp. fire, Monroe and Fairfield Twp. police also responded to the scene. The crash is under investigation.
