I just rode the bike home from the local shop that installed my Rick's Tank. They had to grind the right passenger peg a bit to clear the tank, but that was no biggie.
The one thing they were a bit concerned with was the clearance between the tank and the rear wheel (around 3/16"). The guy who owns the shop is a drag racer - and he cautioned about the tires 'growing' at high speeds. I don't plan on making too many 120 mph runs on the Night Rod, so I am not worried much there. Anyone else with similar concerns?
All in all it was $360 for the installation - and I was happy to pay (since I didn't want to mess with it myself). I'm looking forward to longer trips between fill-ups
