Did you guys have to remove the passenger peg mount to get the stock pipes off?

Seems to be the logical course, however, it seems they put about a billion pounds of torque on the bolts that hold my right peg mount in place. I may break the bolt if I apply any more pressure.

I didn't. There was a certain amount of twisting and wiggling involved so the brackets on the pipes would miss whatever it was that was in the way.

You should be able to get them off without removing anything other than the pipes. I have done it a couple of times, and it was not a big deal. Just loosen all nuts on both cans and You shold be fine. One of them has to come of first, can´t remember which one but as said no biggie You´ll work it out.

Removing the RIGHT (lol) passenger peg mount was the trick. Came right off after that. No locktite or anything, WTF is H-D using to torque down these bolts? Geez.

wtf??

Now I am beginning to wonder if everyone that fills their tank up on the left is actually doing it on what we English would refer to as the right. :moon:

I just loosened of the clamps and removed the two mounting bolts.
It did need a bit of jiggling around the foot peg, but came off fine.
