I have an 09 vrscf im having the motor covers powdercoated

how do i get the alternator wire free from that cover?

It's a rubber boot. You have to disconnect the connector from under the radiator cover, the release the wires from the connector, and then pull the wires through the cover.

Thnx man i got it off

it was connected to i guess the regulator on the front of the radiator

Be extremely careful when you press the pins back into the connector and follow the manual's torque/bolt up pattern for putting the cover back on.

If memory serves, some folks here have had issues with that cover leaking after chroming. Powdercoating may make this more interesting.
