Just installed a set and here's a few quick tips: use a 12pt. 3/8 combo or socket to remove caliphers. Use 3pts total fork oil, that's 24ozs per fork. I used SE hd oil, seems fine, lots of leeway here. Now here's my queation, the pvc spacer stuck up out of the forks about 1/2" so i cut them off even. The ride is fine but was wondering what cutting another 1/4 in. would do to the ride?

I know this is a little late but the spacer sticking out of the top is for preload.
I actually just did this for my VRSCDX and was told I needed about 1/2" stick out for Preload but i went 3/4 as im not a small guy.
If you cut even more off there is a chance it might lower the front and it will also make the front feel softer.
I dont know what Vrod model you have but should call progressive about the preload.
Also I had to cut about 3/8th off of the spacer to get it to the 3/4 like I wanted.
