You can use any early 1 1/2 rear sprocket Part Number 40431-01 The only difference between the part numbers was the color, aluminum or the -06 number was a black version of the sprocket.

What are the early years with the wide sprockets? 02-07?

I wish the description in the parts manuals said the width.
