No, DOT regs say that running and brake lights are only RED, while turn signals can be red or amber. So, if you are using your turn signals as running/brake lights too, they have to be red. I am all for law enforcement, but there is no reason to give an officer Probable Cause to pull you over. This will do that. All the blue dots I have seen are barely noticeable, so not really an issue for most officers.

helmet...check
pipes quieter than the ones one the PD Harleys...check (plus there are only 5 decibel meters in the city, and none af them are with PD)
Not having bright yellow lights blinding the patrol car behind me... check

I agree with you Scott. We never obey all the laws all the time. Its a chance we take, like riding the motorcycle in the first place. Just try not to be to obvious about it, right? Like the idiot speeding (70 in a 30) down the road in front of the regional command center, right after shift change. ( I live right there, so I am very careful about speeding along there). I guess the point DOc and I were trying to make is most people are not aware of those traffic laws. If they are doing something illegal and KNOW about it, that is one thing... a choice. But, if they are doing it because they think its cool, or even a perceived safety imporvement, and then get pulled over? Well, we all know ignorance of the law is no excuse.
