I installed the slotted chrome footpegs for rider and passenger. Now, after a year, the rear ones fold down after riding a couple of minutes . Any suggestions for how to increase the friction there and keep them up? (Thanks for not recommending loctite, viagra or glue :stooge: )

There is a bent spring washer doohickeythat goes in between the peg and the mount that loses some of its tension after a while. Just take it out and bend it a little. PS Yes, it does rust.

The springs are crap the only way to keep them up is to use a bolt and lock nut. I have the a set of iso wings, they kept falling, now they don't move. Just go to a Hardware store get chrome bolts and crank them down. HD dealers sell them.

When I mounted my front pegs, I needed to keep the Kuraykin peg extenders permanently in the folded position. I was unable to get them to stay there (even with a lock washer and a bolt), so I modded the male part of the extensions and installed them backward. You have to take about 1/32" off the back side to install them that way. I also embedded a screw in the slotted footpeg to keep it from opening all the way, at the proper angle for cruising!
