It happened to me this weekend. I was starting to turn into a parking lot and got hit. Cops estimated his speed at over 50 mph. Happened right in front of my club friends. He tried to flee but my guys pulled him out of the car by the throat and gently tapped him in the face. He was out cold and lost a few teeth. Cops were nervous and were threatening to taser everybody. No arrests but the cops took the guy for his own safety. They never even did a breathalyzer. He only got a ticket for expired license even though it was documented on the police report that he was speeding and eye witnesses say they could smell alcohol.

I got a broken collar bone and a couple of broken ribs.

What BS on the cops part. Hopefully your insurance company will press the fault issue!

50 mph and still able to talk about it. I want your kind of luck. You did not say, but I assume you are ok.
Good luck with your reconstruction or replacement.

Sounds like you were very lucky not to have gotten more serious injuries if that jack ass was doing 50 mph. At least your bros got to "thank" him for you. Glad you are ok.

WOW! Bad luck to get run over but incredibly good luck to be able to talk about it. Hope you have a speedy recovery and that he has good insurance.

HOLY SHIT thank goodness you made it out alive!

Holy shit! good that you walked away and your club bros were there to lend a "helping" hand. Fark'n cop didn't do his job for shit! Sorry about the damage to those anodized skins as well. Good luck getting those replaced.

Good to hear you made it out ok. Makes me want to wear a helmet every time I go out. I am sure the bike will work itself out with insurance. Good luck and stay safe!

I'm glad to hear that you made it out fairly unharmed. I agree surprised your friends didn't tap him in the face more then a few times LOL!
I think they did "tap" him a few times,he said he lost some teeth(still not enough). Now that we know you are o.k,whats the plan with the bike,im sure it will be totaled, maybe a new one!

holy shit man.....crazy. your bike looks like the no limit custom bikes now. did the bike even drop after the accident? from the pics the damage is surprisinly minamal

From what I have been told by the local police in Southeast Texs is that they typically do not like to go after drunk drivers due to all of the motions they have to go through to ensure a conviction. They said that MADD is behind it. Not in a bad way, just have to actually do more work to stick them with a DUI/DWI.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I feel very fortunate that I didn't get hurt worse. Guess my guardian angel was watching.

When I got thrown forward, my thighs hooked on the bars and I got hung up and rode the bike to the ground. I was pinned under it but luckily was ahead of the pipes. I'm glad I was wearing my helmet, I don't always do that.

I was actually in New Braunfels. Happened on the access road next to I 35. That guy is lucky the cops were just a couple of blocks away, my friends would have done worse to him. The guy that knocked him out weighs 440 lbs. One of my other friends pushed a cop out of the way to hit the guy again.(64 year old) They cuffed him but it was only a few minutes later when they let him go. I wonder if the cops gave this jack ass a break because he had already been knocked out cold and lost some teeth. I think they were just trying to get him out of there. He was so stupid to be talking smack to a bunch of hyped up, pissed off bikers that just saw their brother get run over.

Don't know exactly what to do about the bike. Ideally they will total it and give me the money for a new one. Then I'll buy it back and fix it. End up with 2 bikes. Don't know what else to get though.

Sure glad to see you up and talking and writing. Thank God you wore a helmet that day and had a greater power than you looking over your shoulder. Kudos to your friends - I'd say that guy will do his best to stay away from bikers at least in the near term. Wish that guy committed his offense here in Canada he'd be charged with criminal negligence, forced to blow on the Breathalyzer and then also charged with impaired driving, plus forced to pay for your damages. It irks me to see his offense treated so lightly.

Wow...incredible! I'm glad you are relatively ok! I'm also glad your brothers took care of you (and him)!
