Hey all, I was just getting ready to do my 5000 mile service and was reading up on the belt deflection and some other stuff and noticed that the service manual says the axle torque is 95-105 ft lbs under adjusting the belt but under rear wheel installation it says 140-150 ft lbs, which is it?:hmm:

What size rear axle? If the nut is 24mm, then it's 100 ft-lbs. If it's the 30mm then it's 140-150 ft-lbs.

RJ,
It's an 05 and if I remember correctly from doing the new tank install its 30mm and thats what I torqued it to (140-150), I just noticed that my service manuals says 2 different things though. Pretty bad when you're reading a service manual at 11:00 on Saturday night isn't it?

Looks like under replacement of the belt it says 140-150 ft lbs so I guess I was right after all, thanks RJ.
