My battery is flat.

Is it bad for the bike to roll start it?

Cheers

I don't think you can roll start it. Someone else chime in if I'm wrong.

lol...Thanks

Well the battery isnt totally flat.

The lights come on but dim, just not enough juice to turn it over.

Is that enough for the ECM?

If you can pop the plastic cover off of your starter solenoid, you can attach a jumper cable to the battery side of it. That will alleviate the task of removing the airbox to access the battery.

Naturally, you can ground the jumper battery to the frame ground point.

If you leave it connected to a fully charged car battery overnight, the battery in your bike will be charged without damage.

Great tip Dave
Cheers

Got this battery last year, hope it still will hold a charge.

I was away for 5 weeks.
Dumb not to at least disconnect the battery.:banghead:

That's way over on the "darkside"!

Only go over there when i do a fake bag run.
Amazing how people back home go ape shit over those. Is not the LV leather print the most godawful thing on the earth? Next to some the HD vomit that is.:barf:

I found set of jumper leads, started it for bit and will leave it to slow charge over night at Dave suggested.

Cheers
