The Tabs look great on your D.

Gotta ask - did you get the pipes with or without baffles? I am leaning towards having the baffles. Judging by the comment you made on pi$$ing off the neighbors, I am guessing you don't have the baffled version :)

No baffles. Although, I gotta admit - my dad and I were out at midnight revving the bike so....yeah.... hahaha. I really don't think they're too loud at all. I think they're perfect.

I'll quote my mom when I asked her if she thought it was too loud-
"Hell no! It's a Harley! There's no such thing as 'too loud'!"

They look good, but is the long pipe supposed to be on the buttom. Just wondering or can yyou put them anyway you want. How do they sound?

They're both the exact same length. The only drawback of the slash cuts is that the top of the bottom pipe gets really dirty really quick. The sound is fantastic. I'm having a bit of a problem with the bike spitting at 5-6 grand while cruising.

Got the same type pipes for my VROD...totally love them. Also baffle-less and glad of that. You're going to be really happy with those! :thumb:
How does yours feel when crusing at about 5-6,000 rpm?

No more pics yet. By the time I was done it was totally dark. But my god they're LOUD.

How hard to remove the stock pipes and put the Tabs on? What tools were needed? I got my D&D's put on yesterday and while I love the job they did with tuning and setting up, I noticed that they decided to place the baffles a bit to the side and that one pipe isn't seated all the way into the stock pipe. So instead of me going back and bothering (although I know this dealer wouldn't mind, Smaltz's) I will try and do this myself. Hey V-Rod-Mike, you listening? Maybe we could do this after our run on Sunday?

Mine were a little hard to get off. I couldn't for the life of me get the front bolt that connected the 2 pipes off. I deviated from the instructions and did it my own way. I ended up taking the right side passenger footpeg mount off so that both pipes could come off at once.

I just got the V-lux pipes and put them myself. It was easy. just allen wrenches and box wrenches. It was a little tough getting the mufflers off but shaked and pullled them off. The only put that was a pain was turning the flange bolst a quarter of a turn forever to tighten.
