I've had this pesky coolant leak I cant track down. I've made sure all the hose clamps are good and tight. I even had the bike running and took a flashlight to look if there are any leaks from the hose/hose clamp connections and nothin, not a drip. Theres a small drip when I ride (coolant spray all over the engine), then when I stop and turn it off, it starts to drip, and I end up with a puddle about 6-8 inches in diameter on the left side. Any suggestions on what else to look for?

I feel your pain, I was experiencing the same problem and I surmised that the spray was probably coming as the cooling fans come on it is blowing the dripping coolant all over the engine. I know you have tightened the clamps but did you use a torque wrench and tighten them to 27-35 inch lbs? I did not resolve my leaking coolant until I tightened them to spec with a torque wrench. Before using the torque wrench I was afraid of making it too tight but I was surprised how loose they were after torquing them to spec. I know how irritating this problem is, I hope this helps. If not, I remember another thread where someone had a problem of the upper radiator tube below the airbox had worn through. You might check that too. Good luck.

Dye test

I believe HD sells a dye to put in your coolant so after you run the bike warm shut it off, you use a black light and you can pinpoint your source of the leak. Goodluck

is there coolant around your overflow bottles filler cap or under the bottle?? i had coolant running down my right down tube and tightened everthing down many times and still had a leak....i finally used a little silicone sealer around the mouth of the filler neck and no more leak....it would leak around the cap when hitting large bump and leaning hard into corners...it's worth a look....

I had to replace both coolant pipes they were worn thru by rubbing against
each other were they drop down to the radiator.
I have a thread on this about two weeks ago.
I just finished my bike up today, man what a pain!!!
