You are going faster than indicated without the re-calibration.

You are correct the bike will be going slower than the actual speedometer shows. Also you will be putting less miles on your bike than what will be showing on the odometer.

I had the flash done and waited to install the 28T and I was going faster than my speedometer showed. Got the two mixed up when posting the first time...
