That's the status of the 40627-06 VRSCSE2 149T narrow secondary drive belt at the dealership parts counter. They told me that if I order one, I won't get it. They'll charge my card, then give me a refund when the status changes to obsolete. None are available in the United States inventory and I can't find any on Google searches for alternates.

Well will you look at that... 2006 Harley-Davidson VRSCSE2 Screamin Eagle V-Rod 149T Drive Belt 40627-06 | eBay

just came up in a search: 149 Tooth V-Rod Belt

There are more and I linked them here but my finger hit the mouse wrong and sent me somewhere else and I lost all the posts. Just do that search and you will find them all. About 4 new and 4 used belts in an array of price ranges.

Yeah, I saw one for $550 and a used one for $450! Unsat!

Dr Dave nice to see you chime in ! Streetrodracer ( Steve @ Bike Week with the Orange R ) here - guaranteed the M/C aftermarket will provide the belt - keep pecking at your keyboard it'll come up ! I'm glad you still got your bike and lookin' to keep her on the road - let us know what you find hopefully you'll luck out ! Still remember you getting sideways with Dr. Dodges VRSC S/E 2 in the gas station when you guys swapped bikes - super big fun !!

Yeah, I remember that too! Ya'll thought that I was a badass, but I was so glad didn't go down on his beautiful bike.

There are aftermarket belts on the ebay listing. Odds are they are made in the same factory. OEM's are giving away very profitable parts business.

I've looked into it and even had the H-D parts manager help, but no joy so far. I just thought I'd ask the true experts here.
