purchased a used PCIII that has a custom map installed. Will this map remain on the PCIII if installed on my bike? I havent gotten the PC yet...and dont know much about them. But im planning on the same setup as the previous owner and would like to retain his custom map. Thanks

unless you plug it in and change the map thru a computer it will remain the same .

As mentioned in Post #2 the map in the PCIII won’t change unless you change it but there’s some other things to consider.

Do you have the same year and model VRSC as the previous PCIII owner?

Did this person download any special "flash" to his ECM (electronic control module)?

The PC devices work by modifying the OEM ECM fuel injector "on time" pulses so your ECM needs to have the same download as the previous PCIII owner’s or the installed map won’t work the same.
