So-called spring is more like winter here in Central Alberta but finally the warmer weather is coming this week. The county has started to clear the gravel and sand off the streets thankfully. Just last week the snow was still falling for several days. Thankfully it melted fairly quickly unlike the dump a couple of weeks ago. Southern Ontario gets warmer quicker than here. So they have been able to ride for several weeks.

Winter does suck for those who love 2-wheels no doubt about it.

Should be riding soon! Yea!

Allergies suck! I hope that they clear up soon for you @kntdrv.

nightrod56...I was wondering if you finally got the bike out. Sounds like its just a matter of time now.

The Golden Triangle is one of the worst areas for allergy sufferers. Sucks when the eye balls feel like sand paper and you sneeze into your visor doing a buck 20.....lol.

I am planning on picking up the bike this week. I am so looking forward to riding my new machine and having 2 wheels under me again. I have taken the next 4 weeks off and plan to ride every day that I can. Should be a great time!

Yes! I was able to get my NRS yesterday. Rode the 300 km home from the dealer. All I can say is WOW, it was glorious. Weather was great. The highways had light traffic for most of the way, allowing me to go through the gears and break it in correctly. I was comfortable and loved the feel. The Bassani exhaust has a great sound! The smiles just did not stop.

Old Man Winter came early in 2017-2018 but pretty much left mid-February (around here) followed with plenty of rain to wash the salt off the roads. I can't remember when I ever started my riding season in February:)

Ride safe everyone.......

Well....woke up this morning and there was a light dusting of snow on the streets. Long term forecast is for wet and single digit (Celsius) temps.

Were did the riding season go? As usual I did not ride my VROD nearly as much as I anticipated. I either have to take the riding season off (work) or move somewhere I can ride 10/12 mths.

It's going to be another long Winter....

Don't know about the rest of you but my 2019 Riding season was very short...mostly due to work commitments. When the opportunity was there the weather wasn't.

I was hoping for decent fall weather and it looked promising for a while but...Old Man Winter hit us early (South Central Ontario) and has settled in. Looks like its going to be a long winter. I envy all you "guys" who can ride all year round......

It is nice to get out most of the year and cruise and see friends in the south. You ever make it to Daytona Bike week and enjoy the spring weather ? Nice to see a lot of bikes out and places to go and meet people and good food places .

After taking most of the 2019 riding season off due to the virus and lockdowns.....got my VROD back on the road as of April 1st. The weather has been ideal for riding and I've gotten out a few times already. Seeing a lot of motorcycles out their (despite just entering another 4+ wks of Lockdown).

I think everyone has given the virus the middle finger and doing their best to enjoy Life.
Ride/Stay safe everyone......

Knut....that sucks! The snow has stopped falling where I am for weeks now and I've managed to take advantage of some great riding weather.
However, the allergy season has really kicked in this year. I can't remember the last time I felt like popping out my eye balls and scrubbing them with a golf ball scrubber....

This past Thanksgiving long weekend was amazing not only for the turkey but for riding too.
However, you could feel Old Man Winter starting to stir. Won't be long now before I change the oil and cover up the bike until Spring......

Yup, won't be long now. Just changed my oil last weekend. Only project this winter is relocate the oil pressure gauge to front beside the PV unit. Running it on the rear head area is about next to useless.
