I hope they didn't charge you much (if anything) for the dyno runs. I wouldn't pay without a printout, no proof they did anything.

Those numbers are WAY off. You should have no less than 95 rwhp totally stock, 100 is more the norm. Your setup should be good for 110 rwhp without much effort. Somethings not right with their dyno IMHO.

Did he tell you what kind of dyno they use? If it's a Factory One Eddy current dyno then that might explain it, they read almost 17% low compared to a dynojet.

Val,

From what I know of the dyno they used it's notorious for recording lower peak numbers if not correctly configured. If they have the Pro model with the eddy current brake then it's even harder to configure. Even properly configured they record corrected power between 11% and 19% lower than a standard Dynojet when rwhp is selected (vs. engine HP). Being conservative I'll bet that your bike would pull 105 - 107 hp on a Dynojet 250 inertial dyno using the standard settings.

Besides, except for diagnosing significant power problems the best use for a dyno is as a comparison tool. Your results show a 5% gain by simply correcting the program on the PCIIIr. That's significant and obviously you can feel the difference. If you get a change I would have the bike run on another dyno that has some baseline information on V-Rods to compare. I don't think you have a problem and I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I would, however, express my concerns with the dealer to see what their answer is. I'd also ask them to make another power run on their dyno and print out the results (I's be there watching).
