Anyone else noticing oil weeping from the rubber O-ring where the shifter linkage shaft enters the engine block? If you have not checked behind the frame on that side of your engine lately, have a look. Hmmmm

danafwelch I have heard a couple of others report that seal needing to be replaced but it was a long time ago, I'll check both of mine later.

Thx, Max. I'm eager to learn of your findings. Mine is a "wet spot" about 2 inches long and not serious yet as it had a coating of road dust. Another I saw was twice that size and definately wetter. Both '03s, mine with 5,600 miles on a totally stock set up.

Mine is not weeping. It had a tiny bit of grease with road grime attached but no oily residue(as in fresh).
