The Revolution engine is smooth, I think by any standard, except maybe a large car.
One thing to check that hasnt been mentioned is how well the two intake butterflys are syncronized. In otherwords they should both come full closed at exactly the same time, and should open and move the same also. If they wernt rigged correctly it causes a great deal of vibration since one cylinder is doing more work than the other. This could be easily missed, since so many dealers are not experienced with the V.
To check, I would remove the air filter and maybe the stacks and check to see anything obvious. If you cant see a difference, put a finger on both intake butterflys and feel if they move open at the exact same time. Then check very carefully, by feel, that they hit closed at the exact same time. I dont know if your a do it yourselfer, but you can do all that with very little skill or effort. Then you can at least tell the techy what you found.
I learned about this when I rebuilt my 911 engine and went to dual Weber carbs. If they arent synced up perfect it feels like a miss or bad vibration.

Ride on...

My Theory

My theory is that most of the problems with vibration are due to throttle body syncronization. The engine is born to be smooth and there arent stray parts on the inside that would make such a difference in several different bikes. The throttle valves should open and close exactly the same amount and at the same time. Even small differences will cause vibration or even a feeling of a miss.
It has to be this, or unequal ignition firing, which has been brought up in other threads (bad coils).
I have to say my V is smooth as silk throughout the rpm range. I have to laugh at my friends Road King when he's idling and his engine looks like a paint shaker.
