Hi Guys and Gals! THis is My first attemped at making contact with anyone, so I would like someone to reply just to verify that I'm being heard. I picked up my new '04 B model 2 mos. ago today and have really enjoyed the bike, but being a "moterhead" I didn;t wiat long before putting it on the dyno to get a baseline before I started messing with it. The results were pretty much where I expected, 103hp and 72ft.lb.tq.. My first mission was to get the exhaust to make more noise than the engine!! After finding the V-Mod web site, I spent the nrxt 3 wks. reading all the e-mail traffic there, and got a pretty good idea where things stand as far as proven systems availabity as it stands at this time. The good news is there several prominent companies that are in the process of developing new systems over the next 2-3 mos., Rich's Products ( thunderheader), Bosanni, and possibly Muzzy. I actually had the opportunity to get the first Basanni pipe by letting them use my bike as a mule, but my proximity to thier factory made it to costly for me. But the fact remained that I had to do something inthe meantime. I opted for the v-modded stock mufflers, airfilter, and HD's race tuner. Downloading their existing map gave me 109hp and 76 ft.lbs.tq., and over 10hp and 11ft.lbs.tq. @ 5000rpm.. Still have some fine tuning to remove a stumble at 4-5000rpm, but overall i'm happy and it sounds awsome.Flash

I talked to the Bassani people in Daytona last month and they said they were considering something. They asked for my input. I said. "it MUST make good power AND look good with full heat shields and high quality stainless. A 2 into 1 with an up swept design that increases lean angle with the above attributes would be my preference". They just smiled, did I get close????
