My vertical license plate mount should be here soon... it mounts by removing the left rear axel nut and washer, putting the mount next the swing arm and then putting the washer/nut back on over this mount.

That's one huge nut on the side!

What size socket wrench will fit that?

Good luck getting the Left Rear axle nut off. I hope you meant the right side. If it is the left side, you will need to remove the entire axle.

36mm! Where did you get that number? Noticed you have a Night Rod and I can only speak for the "A" but 36mm is pretty damn big. Is this one of the differences between the two bikes?

The 2005 and up are 36mm.

The 2002-2004 are 24mm.

They changed the rear axle size in 2005.

This is my plate mount I've got ordered:

http://www.dreamweaversprostreet.com

The guy I ordered it from said to remove the left rear axel nut and washer, then put this frame on, then the nut and washer back over it.

Cant do it on the right side, the pipes are in the way. It snugs up against the swing arm.

I think that most guys mount these things on the left lower shock bolt. But that will likely depend on the size of the hole in your bracket.
