Ok, so we all know that the part 41668-06 does not exist, even in the deepest, darkest parts of the web. Mine split the rubber hose, just past the banjo fitting at the rear caliper. I had planned to have it remade locally, but nowhere will touch it. I have searched the web exhaustively for days and all I can find are threads on here of folks asking the same question and being told to have one custom made... or saying that they had one made. But never giving any details!

Pretend I am a dumbass... it won't be that hard! :D
When I call or text ARH Customs... What do I tell them that I need? This is for a 2006 Night Rod with mid controls.

Thank you,
Man who misses having a rear brake!

You will need two banjo fittings to AN adapters, two AN to MNPT adapters, two brake lines with AN fittings at the required length, and a junction box with three FNPT ports to put in the middle (one for each brake line and one for the brake light switch). Probably should get a new brake light switch as they are prone to failure too. Is there a Cycle Gear near you? If not any independent bike shop should be able to hook you up with exactly what you need to bolt this together in under an hour. I have made all my lines on all my bikes using these parts from Goodridge, Galfer, etc.

Here is an example of the splitter with the switch installed:

As you can see you can get all different colors, angles, and sizes. Being a VRSCD you may want all black fittings and lines.

Luckily I was able to order a new line from H-D a few years ago, I can only imagine you asked your dealer to search the hd.net country wide parts system for that P/N ? Many times the parts turd sees obsolete and announces it's not available without checking the system. I've found lots of parts this way. Mine came from some random dealer way out west, I'm not sure if the H-D system searches Canada and around the world also but it might be worth a try. Building your own like bproulxvrod suggested above is probably your for sure results best bet though.

Be sure the rear caliper is supported when the rear wheel is removed, the lines get older and brittle and letting it hang cracks the lines. Mine cracked internally and chunks of rubber blocked the port in the caliper so not leaking but still no rear brake, during a trip to the mountains of course.

I live in the Smokys and I was headed to the Dragon when mine failed. So I canceled that ride :D
Funny I was staying in a cabin at Lake Lure on VaCa and was headed to the TOD as well ! I was able to clear out the debris and got mine working again so it didn't ruin my trip but I use the back brake a lot to help the bike turn in while riding in the mountains so without it I probably wouldn't have ridden it either !
Broke my rear brake on a CR250R in a 5 hour off road enduro race once, what a hated experience - you never realize how much you need it until you lose it - not as much on the street but still much harder to ride fast without a rear brake - good luck fixing yours ! - (y)
