Just got an 02 V-ROD how do I make this bike louder. Has anyone taken out the stock bafles and cut them down. My brake pedal is very stiff can I ajust it. Thanks

Get a set of Force Streetfighter pipes if ya want loud! :sinister:

the stock exhuast have two set's of baffles in them...some of us have sent our pipes to v-mod and had the inner baffle taken out...the outter baffle is left intact.
this does make the bike louder but not ear bleeding loud.
i'll try to take another vid this weekend with the bike outside, but it sounds the same in the small garage with the door open.IMHO

Cool thanks shawn ya that vid sounds good. you sent your to vmod to get the bafles cut. That was the vid with the 2 bikes in it right.

For the money it's the easiest route, when you compare new pipes at $350+ to having your stock ones modded for around $150

I cut my baffles out last weekend. I am a big do-it yourselfer and hate to waste money on something I could do my self. I used a pnuematic die grinder. I have seen the ones VMod does (they do great work) but I said I could do that my self. I was a mess and less than 2 hours but it saved me $150, shipping and I did it in a morning.

Unless you have a special attachment for a plasma cutter I would Spend the cash and get them V-Mod ' d
Nice loud and a little more power to boot.
Spend more and get a full set of slip ons.Just check all the posts on exhausts and take your pick.

:vrodforu: The custom should be above the standard but if it is not thier you may need more post before you can get a custom :blahblah: mean while post in Reg. with where your from and like to ride

Don’t you have to retune the engine after modifying the exhaust?? I thought the V-ROD engine was very picky about it’s back pressure.
