this is my winter project. turning my 04 b-model into a bagger.

I see your putting a road glide faring on it. Did you mount to the frame?

i'm using a TOUR GLIDE fairing (80-96) & yes it is mounted to the side frame rails & to the neck in the center. I bought a Cycle Visions Road Rod fairing mount kit, but will be throwing half of it away(side mounts) & modifying the neck mount, because I don't like the angle of the fairing when using their kit. I also bought their floorboard kit which feels like it changes the way you sit, feels good, but won't know til I put some miles on it this spring.

the bags are from H-D, Sportster hardbags, (not the Dyna bags) any dealer can get them. The mounting brackets will be cu$$$tom by me, but first I will be installing a 5 gal take from EU.

Nice job... Something H-D should have done instead of coming out with some of the stupid models they have and are still bringing out. Something like this could be considered a performance tourer.
The bags look really good, much nicer than any bags H-D ever put out for the V-Rod.

I couldn"t agree with you more Ozzie. Put in a 5 gal. Unlimited Engineering tank to get a few more miles in between fills. Coolbeans the floorboards are great(mount kit from cycle visions), they really change how you sit & give you room to move your feet.
