Hello,

I had a little mishap and now I have to replace the section of the frame on the right side where the front foot peg is.
it this a DIY job of should it go to the shop? I have a 2007 VRSCAW.

It is a do it yourself job if you have a jack to hold the bike up as you will be removing the kickstand to replace that section. Also getting the rail itself can be difficult due to backorder. One other thing is a lot of times after an incident on the left side that ruins the frame rail a short time later the shift shaft will shear. Another simple replacement with basic handtools and the DIY instructions on this forum. Depending how hard the mishap was it may be worth replacing the shift shaft when you replace the frame rail to avoid any future down time? Good luck.

Thanks for the info bproulxvrod. My Mistake, it is actually the right side.
I think I will give a try trying to remove it. If I cant I can always bring it to the shop.
I hope I can find that part.

No, it may be repairable, welded. Waay cheaper compared to the cost of a new rail.
