My 05 vrsc lower fork sliders are pitted. Everything else on the bike is perfect. I want to have them replaced with new ones. Any ideas on what it would cost to replace these, or is there any way to to repolish them. I just bought the bike and love it.

:vrodforu: The stock lowers are clear coated from the factory. You could strip/sand the clear off and then polish the aluminum or look in the classifieds or post in the wanted section for a nice set of take-offs from someone who has to chrome or powdercoated lowers.

How hard is it to polish through the anodizing once you get the clear off?

Seems like I read somewhere that oven cleaner will take anodizing off. Not sure.
