Off topic but LV info from experience.
If you have a nationwide credit or debit card use that to pay for stuff or get $'s out of the wall, they don't charge the 2.75% bank charges that ALL other banks charge for overseas usage. But you get charged a couple of $'s by the local bank but get VISA exhange rates which are much better than uk banks if you take money out with your debit card.
Also if you going shopping at the outlet malls sign up (each person going) at PremiumOutlets.com, print off coupons for discounts in stores and to get coupon books for both the outlet malls in LV. You can save a LOT of money that way!! You can print off as many as you like, it's one coupon per person per store per day but if you have different coupons from different sources (PremiumOutlets.com booklet you get at customer relations and print off online).
Also look for the mall guides, they also have coupons, these are not stupid 50p coupons, they are 10, 20+% or up to 100$ off certain purchases.
Best Denny's i found was in the not so nice part of town, near the stratosphere. It was the best place i found for consistant american food (Denny's that is). Hotels food was OK, the top end places couldn't touch London but the mid-range lice Bouchon's Brasserie was reasonable french style fair!
LV HD was big but expensive, US retail plus sales tax (used to Zanotti's 20% discount!!) plus you may have to pay duty on your way home, not many V's there at Xmas this year!
It's worth checking out the scenery, mount charleston (i think that's what it's called) had proper white xmas on christmas day just 30 mins outside LV, plus Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon (don't drive there!)
Enjoy!
