Hi I Know its all a bit late but im crossing the pond for 3 days only and visiting LAS VEGAS. I fly in from the UK in 12 hours. (THURSDAY 11TH)
Thing is i want to take the opportunity to pick up some progressive 440s for my DX, because here in the England they are way more expensive than in the States.
So question is does anyone know the size of the shocks (to keep bike at same level as stock) and where in VEGAS can i find them ?

THANKS IN ADVANCE . (2007 V ROD DX)

From reading the forum, stock length is 12.5", but that's not something I know firsthand.

As far as where to find them, the only dealer listed in LV on their website is:

Las Vegas Harley Davidson
2605 S. Eastern Ave
Las Vegas, NV 89109
Phone: (702) 431-8500
Fax: (702) 207-4962
www.lvhd.com

I can't imagine they stock them though!

When out in Vegas... You will find things a lot cheaper to eat and drink down at the Fremont st. area. This is the Old Las Vegas strip. If you do not rent a car...use a all day bus pass to get around. The bus pass is just a couple of bucks and good for all day. I used the same bus pass for the entire week I was there. If you want to go to the dealership out there take a taxi...cost is 35.00 dollars expensive!!! If you are in the new strip area...Check to see if the Mirage still has the free shuttle to the dealership.
The dealership also rents bikes...I suggest to do so and ride out of the city for some great sight seeing.

If you like Black Jack try the Casino Royal They are the only casino to have a 2.00 table and pays really well. I won alot at this place.
When you chek in ask for coupon books they will save you alot money.

Enjoy your time. Hope this helps.

Like MikeP suggested, call and buy direct from Progressive and have them 2 day shipped to your hotel. Progressive is great to do business with.

Call Terry at Phat Performance Parts right now, I just ordered my new shocks from them.
I am also visiting the states pretty soon.
At least they have the PS 440 12" (black) in stock now.

Off topic but LV info from experience.

If you have a nationwide credit or debit card use that to pay for stuff or get $'s out of the wall, they don't charge the 2.75% bank charges that ALL other banks charge for overseas usage. But you get charged a couple of $'s by the local bank but get VISA exhange rates which are much better than uk banks if you take money out with your debit card.

Also if you going shopping at the outlet malls sign up (each person going) at PremiumOutlets.com, print off coupons for discounts in stores and to get coupon books for both the outlet malls in LV. You can save a LOT of money that way!! You can print off as many as you like, it's one coupon per person per store per day but if you have different coupons from different sources (PremiumOutlets.com booklet you get at customer relations and print off online).

Also look for the mall guides, they also have coupons, these are not stupid 50p coupons, they are 10, 20+% or up to 100$ off certain purchases.

Best Denny's i found was in the not so nice part of town, near the stratosphere. It was the best place i found for consistant american food (Denny's that is). Hotels food was OK, the top end places couldn't touch London but the mid-range lice Bouchon's Brasserie was reasonable french style fair!

LV HD was big but expensive, US retail plus sales tax (used to Zanotti's 20% discount!!) plus you may have to pay duty on your way home, not many V's there at Xmas this year!

It's worth checking out the scenery, mount charleston (i think that's what it's called) had proper white xmas on christmas day just 30 mins outside LV, plus Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon (don't drive there!)

Enjoy!

It would probably be cheaper to stay home and pay the inflated price then it is to gamble in Vegas.
