Bikes are different than cars, there's not as many places for hidden damage and if it takes a total frame replacement (not that expensive on a bike) the chances of there being any lasting effects are minimal. Just make sure they check everything and involve the insurance adjuster as they dissasemble the bike in case they find more damage as they are going along. DO NOT sign anything until the bike is repaired to your satisfaction. BTW, most decent motorcycle policies cover $1000 of add on accessories with the basic policy and you can add up to $5000 of additional coverage fairly cheap. For those who have customized you might want to take a look at your policies and talk to your agents. Cheap insurance can quickly be a "You get what you pay for" proposition.
