This just dosn't seem right. I have only owned it 4 days already done a 1000 k's . Any help apreciated !!

Not sure how much 19 litres translates to US gallons, but only the newer bikes (2008 and up?) have a 5 gal tank. My 06 Has the much smaller just over 3 gallons. With that said, I also cannot pump 3 gals when tank is emptyusually about 2.7 gallons. Not near what I thought. Someone on site may have an answer. And No there isn't 1/2 gallon of crud in tank. Oh yeah, daniel there is 5 gal upgrade tanks available. Welcome to 1130cc.

The gas gauges are historically inaccurate. The odd shape of the fuel tank doesn't help either. First the gauge goes down realllllly slow, then ZOOM! down to a 1/4 tank where it sits for awhile.

And that's when the gauge is accurate. I've got a 2009 that has acted up on occasion, but one and a half years later it's as accurate as a any V-rod gauge. Early on there were chronic complete failures but I think they have at least that part of the problem cured as of 2009.

Just my experience though. I could be the lucky exception to the rule.

The best gas gauge on any v-rod is the odometer and a little experience with the bike.

I ran down to 8 miles left according to the vgauge - put 4.5 gallons in. Vgauge is RIGHT ON THE MONEY.
