I’ve been riding for about 12 years and have always owned Jap bikes until the V-rod. I’ve never had an occasion to bother Harley people and they have always left me alone, until now. I rode my favorite ride up hwy 12 to a lodge for lunch yesterday. Don’t know if there was an organized ride or not but the Harley people (air heads) were out in droves. Was getting ready to leave when 6 guys came up and wanted to know if that was my V-rod. After explaining that it was one person wanted to know if I realized what I had there or if I was just trying to prove something. In response I politely inquired if he realized what he DIDN’T have there, and if so, there are other V-rods available. Left there stopped on top of the pass and sure enough another bad ass Harley rider approached and wanted to know whose V-rod that was. Explained it was mine with a little attitude this time. He wanted know why someone hadn’t explained to me yet that it was time to grow up and get a real Harley.
Thought when I decided on the V-rod it would be my Jap bike friends who would give me the most trouble. Turns out they really like my bike and can’t say enough good things about it. I knew Harley people didn't like this bike but never realized it would be like a damn red flag.
