I made a few risers that are a little over one inch thick, this allows you 2 good things
1. the bars are closer to you making it more comfy and
2. you can slide the tubes up into the trees farther and lower the front end a little over an inch.
I was gonna try and charge 20-30 bucks but the aircraft grade aluminum guys increased their price and charged me extra to chop them down ( i knew the first time i got metal was too good to be true, lol).
The deal includes the polished 1 inch riser, 2 new longer bolts (with the new bolts and riser you wont need anything else to finish the job) and shipping for just $50 bucks. Way cheaper then buying lowering springs for the front or a riser from someone. I'm not looking to make much (with the metal, shipping, drill bits (they go quick with this thick stuff) , grinding pad, polishing pads, rouge for my buffer wheel and polishing compound it adds up. But since so many guys were interested i thot i would make a few for whomever wanted one especially since i cant find anyone who sells them????
NOTE: the cables and wires will work just fine with the riser on so no need to worry about needing new wiring, cable, lines or having to take that stuff apart. Simply remove the bars turn upside down and set them on the front fender (put a towel under it so you dont scratch it) put on the riser put the bars back on and tighten the new longer bolts (you may want a helper to hold stuff in to make it easier but their not needed) then if you like loosen and slide the fork tube up to lower the front end. I will sens a simple instruction sheet with each one.
If you interested PM me and ill give you my paypal account email address and will ship them out quick. paul
heres a thread i started about making the rise, the riser i am selling is a little different then the first one(it was just a test so i went smaller because it looks better and matches the bars better).

3 things I'm going to love about this, saves me a ton of cash not buying the progressives as I had planned before and I can lower even more than an inch (Hanny got 1.2in out of his) without losing any shock travel, and it's adjustable to whatever suites you. :)

As the official first customer of Hanny (Paul) I can say, the finish of the product is like a little bar of gold!!!!! whooop whoooop....

Bad part, is that the bike is at the dealer getting the ABS error code sorted. I can't wait to get her home and put the riser on.

A+ Paul!!!!!!

How much does this move the bars back? thanks!
Well it's not designed to move them back, but the riser is about 1" and given the angle of the forks naturally I'd guesstimate it would move the bars about a little more than a half inch up and a little less half inch back I believe.

So I got my riser installed yesterday, took some pictures with my phone during the process, and also of the disaster that resulted, but more on that later...

So like a fool, after I got the bars back on I thought ok, well I'll take this cloth off the front fender because hey, nothing else is going to touch it right...

Wrong. I switched from a small ratchet to a break bar to crank the bolts for the final tightening, swung it down just as I did with the ratchet not even questioning in my mind if it would clear... and pow, scratched the HELL out of my front fender.

Live and learn...:banghead:

Ouch!! Sad to see that.

Mine is on the way... never noticed or thought about the new gap above the headlight, any thoughts or suggestions?

What I did to conceal the wires (since it looks like the rainbow) is I took the 3m adhesive from the reflectors I removed, peeled it off the reflector and just wrapped it around the wires for now to help hide them. It's a temp fix but it helped a LOT.

Some finished pictures from the digital camera...I got exactly 1 and 1/4" of slide out of the front forks, and I have 1" lowers rear shocks as well. Pegs grind a little bit easier but I really like the stance much better.

Next...trying to figure out how to remove my belt guard and a 260metz coming up some day. =)
