We are riding in a funeral procession today for a well known local rider. :( Joe Vance, who headed the local HOG chapter for a number of years was tragically killed when a vehicle crossed the centerline and hit him. Joe was flown to Spokane, Washington (North of here with very good trauma unit) where he unfortunately died. Joe's wife, who was riding another bike with him was also involved in the accident, survived without life threatening injuries.

We will escort ride from the service to the burial. It is a cold and windy day, but that does not matter.

My God rest his soul and provide comfort to his wife, daughter and other members of Joe's family.

Thanks all. We are back. All went well, considering. Nice turnout for Joe, must have been 100 bikes and a police escort through 3 towns along the 25 mile route to the cemetery. No injuries or wrecks and the family was, of course, appreciative. Everyone froze their asses off as the wind was blowing a good fifteen-twenty miles an hour and the temperature was in the 30's. Regardless, respect was due and respect was shown.
