Front turn signals

- 3/16" black shrink tube
- 1/4" metal braided sleeving
- 1/2" clear shrink tube
- 1/2" black shrink tube

> Take apart the clamshell housing
> Pull out the metal frame holding the connectors
> Pull out the turns 6-position connector
> Use the masking tape to label "L", "R", and wire colors on connector
> Remove pins from connector
- There is a tab on top of the pins that needs to get pushed down
- SnapOn makes an extractor tool, you can use a paper clip, etc.
- The connector and both turns can be taken off the bike, if you can't
get the pins out, take them to your friendly HD service department.
- This step is the hard part, it takes some time
> Put the wires (3 each) from each turn into the 3/16 black shrink tube
or tightly wrap with black electrical tape.
> Put the 1/4" metal braided sleeving over the wires
> Put the 1/2" clear shrink tube over the metal braid
> Put a small 1/2" black piece of shrink tube at turn signal housing
> Route wires back into gauge cluster mount
> Re-insert wires back into connector
> Plug connector back into socket

Total cost: $10.00
