So I finally get my bike out to my little place of residence, and because I am not so trusting I bought the audible alarm for her. Despite being tool limited here, I figured I could install it. So I pulled off the splash guard like the directions said. I only found one wire down their, pulled it apart and there aint no way the alarm is plugging into the wires running right below the seat on the bike left. The bike is an 03, what am I missing?

I think that if you lift the rubber flap under the seat you will see the plug that you are looking. Good luck

The harness that you need is wrapped around the fuel pump sender flange. It is try-strapped to another harness on the exhaust side. Mine was a bitch to get freed between the sheet metal and the fuel tank, but it will come loose and will need to be routed behind the tank on the other side.

The instructions for the alarm installation SUCK. It's like Vrod-G said -- lift the rubber flap around the gas cap. The wire might be wrapped around the dome of the gas tank. Easy enough to figure out -- it's the only one that will fit the alarm unit.
The maxifuse -- main fuse -- is located behind the right louvered side cover.
