I love love the slammed look, but my wife rides with me all the time. I want to put something like 11.5" (or lower if I can get away with it) shocks on the rear, but I am afraid of bottoming out. My wife and I are maybe 280 lbs. combined. Any thoughts on how low can I go with a passenger and be out of danger?
Thanks!

I would def suggest air ride. I will be one day. I lowered my bike 1" front and back last night and scraped my exhaust twice already :( just have to be really careful now...

You might want to consider an air ride system. You can bottom out riding 2-up with stock shocks set at their lowest.
:them:

That is one of the main reasons I went air ride, well that and I could adjust it with a push button. Trying to sit that low at rest will have to be sprung like a dump truck to not bottom out with a passenger....
