i know im guna get flamed for not searching harder but..

im looking to get a used vrscdx and i was only looking at 08 and newer ones because i want the 5 gal tank and a 1250cc engine and the 240mm rear tire.. then i read on a thread that some 07's had the 1250cc in them... how do i tell what engine it has in it?

also what are the major diffferences between the 07 and 08 vrscdx's ?

im only asking b/c ive found some smoking deals on 07's with under 5k miles on them....

none of the 07 has 1250 engine other than VRSCX. I believe the only major differences are the O2 sensors and 120cc more on 08+.

i agree, as far as i know the x was the only one with a 1250 all the others were still 1130 including the 07 dx

Andy and Brett are right on the differences. ABS was an option in 08.

There's never been anything bigger than a 240 offered. 07 DXs, Nightrod Specials, are 1130s.

Aftermarket tanks can be had to bring you up to 5 gal. Afternoon of work/fun times and $400 will do that. Some digging around will get you a budget 240 rear setup. 1130cc or 1250cc little to choose from in general performance. Depends what kind of deal you can get.

A few of us are in NJ, if you need a second set of eyes to check over a bike, just ask.

Dude I just bought an 07DX out of South Jersey a few months back, from a member here...5500 mi, aftermarket exhaust, PCIII. Great deals to be had, just keep your eyes open...
