Just starting my winter project of painting a replacement set of tins. I need to remove the HD badge from each side cover. Is it as easy as using a heat gun and prying off? Anyone have any tips?

Fishing nylon.

I used a hair dryer to heat them up, don't have a heat gun, then fishing line.

A heat gun might be a little bit of overkill since the "tins" are plastic.

A hair dryer is actually probably a better choice, but even that really isn't really required.

Just use some heavy-duty monofilament (solo, or after hitting the logo with the hair dryer for a bit) and slowly rock/pull it back and forth as you work your way through the adhesive.

WD-40 works surprisingly well to clean off the adhesive residue.
