With apologies to those who prefer a "cleaner" looking bike, I have spent some time trying to make a longer ride more comfortable. The sundowner seat and touring shield with lowers were early additions, which I didn't truly appreciate till I spend seven hours on a rental in Ft Myers in Nov, without either. My thigh muscles were so sore I couldn't walk right for a week (old age sucks).
The hiway pegs I mounted on the engine guard ease that, but stick out too far. Finally tried a combination of the "billet" hiway peg mounts, and the Kuraykin extenders. I had to modify the Kuraykin mounts so they could be installed reversed, to stay in the folded position (using a bench grinder). This was almost right, but I needed the pegs to be angled back. So I drilled a hole in the footpegs and installed a screw to provide the added thickness to angle the pegs properly. They don't hit the guard this way, and are the perfect angle to relax my legs.
