Today is the day. I ride up to Chicago to purchase my first Harley, at 57 years young.

A 2007 Harley-Davidson Night Rod Special VRSCDX.

I test drove a 2009 last week was hooked.

Been reading this forum for a while now. What great ideas from so many members. What mods to purchase first, think it will be a Sundowner seat. Test driving the 09 for 4 miles was all it took for that decision.

I wonder if I will be able to sleep tonight.

Thanks for the welcome.

All went well. Turns out the gentleman I purchased the bike from is a member here. Go figure.

Well the V-Rod is home. We got acquainted on the ride home. I let her know she was going to a good home. Proved it to her by giving her a good washing.

Don't have a cover yet, but she is underneath a bed sheet, in the garage, tucked away for the night.
