Headwinds headlight on V-rod:

- Headwinds 5 3/4" Concours Rocket (Smooth)
- Arlen Ness bottom headlight mount
- Metal braided sleeving, wrapped with clear shrink tube

I will post a "How-To" for the headlight installation, and covering the front wires and cables with metal braided sleeving later this week.

I look forward to your "How To:
It's good to see that a subtle mod can make a bike look different to the rest of us in the crowd. :vrod:

Looks great !
How stable is it.
Does the light "bounce" or vibrate ?
Sometimes aftermarket does not seem as stable .
If you say it is good this may be my next "expensive" mod .
Again,it looks great.

Thanks alot.

The light is very stable (after some serious cranking with the wrench). If you are willing to spend the time to clean up the wires behind it, you will love the new look of the front.

I do love the way that looks just like you did it.
Thanks for sharing the pics and experience.
I am keeping an eye on both of the threads being talked about right now.

How do you think a well shaped and mounted chrome plate "infill" would look behind the light covering the area between the forks (and the cables) starting from the fork bracket (triple tree?) the light is mounted on to the one above it? Bit like the new Road King Custom set up if you can get a feel for what I mean.

Karl...I think it may be too much metal, and take away from the light. I like the look of the light kind of out there by itself as a focus of attention. I am a "less is more" kind of guy, but I am curious to see it if you come up with something.

karl...another thought about using a chrome cover is airflow. I wonder how much air flow would be reduced with a solid cover up front?
